Aggresso!

Spiller du i band? Send oss en demo.

Fett.

Hello!

What a relief this weeks show was. Not only was it a thrill to get to tidy up from last weeks "blunder" (see last playlist-mailout) but I finally got a vinylplayer, meaning I finally got to play those Vi Gruer Oss and Raging Fugitives records and some new pieces of wax from the very nice Bootleg Booze Recs. This weeks playlist is a delight. Be sure to check out the re-run at our site and tune in next week as well. Thanx.

Here we go:

AGGRESSO! # 7 - 12.03.08

1. BART - THE HEAT IS ON (demo)

one of the many bands that have sent in demos for consideration to play
at this years Phonofestival which I am in charge of booking for this year.
Look out for that one in the end of September. Should be lotsa great acts
there!
2. FLOGGING MOLLY - PADDY'S LAMENT (SideOneDummy/Tuba)
their new album is fucking brill-i-ant! Beautiful popish paddypunk with just
enough mainstream-appeal without going totally OTT.
3. BUZZCOCKS - ORGASM ADDICT (LIVE) (Cooking Vinyl/Bonnier Amigo)
4. BARN AV REGNBUEN - N.R.K. (Svindel)

a Hurra For Norge Vol.2 comp.-classic
5. RAGING FUGITIVES - FALL (Drittprofitt/Kontrabande/Nakkeskudd/Plata/Radio Shizo)
the long-delayed 7" is finally here. I gave away free copies to a couple of
lucky contest-winners. There are still some left so be sure to tune in next
week if you wanna score a free copy of this delicious piece of norwegian
hardcore-wax
6. BEINKJÖR - TITTELSPOR (ROCK FOR RUS) (I Eat)
7. GREENLAND WHALEFISHERS - ROCKY ROAD TO LONDON (Patchwork)

playing, as always, on St.Patricks Day in Bergen. This year it falls on a
Monday and the venue is Ricks
-. interview Remi Arefjord and Thomas Olsen, DEADEND RACKETS
8. DEADEND RACKETS - BLOODLINES COMBINED (demo)

an interview with a local band I did for last weeks show which never got
aired. Check 'em out!
9. THE RULING CLASS - THE LAST OF A DYING BREED (Bootleg Booze)
a refreshing garagepunkhardcoresomething-split between 2 Swedish
bands, The Ruling Class and Black Radio. Outstanding cover and layout.
Some people tend to forget that these days.
10. FOUR FLAMINGOS - NO RULES (Bootleg Booze)
3 beautiful tracks in the landscape between Australian punkrock, British
pubrock and MC5. Bootleg Booze is back after the semi-lame Mary's
Kids single last year. Yes!
11. NOMATRIX - JUDGEMENT DAY (Deadlamb)
I love the Deadlamb-guys for keeping it real and always sending their
newest releases to us but this band is terrible! Nuff said I think.
Maybe I'll play a track next time just out of sympathy for this band
whose head isn't at the worst place but defintely need a new
drummer, producer, guitarist, singer and songwriter.
12. RAGING FUGITIVES - BUILD UP/BREAK DOWN (Drittprofitt/Kontrabande/Nakkeskudd/Plata/Radio Shizo)
more from the contest-single
13. KÖTTGROTTORNA - ZÜGA (MNW/Bonnier Amigo)
A Svenska Punkklassiker 2-classic
14. VI GRUER OSS - LANDSKAP MED GRAVEMASKINER (Drittprofitt/Plata/Radio Schizo/Untermensch)
15. VI GRUER OSS - REBELLEN DEL 1 (Drittprofitt/Plata/Radio Schizo/Untermensch)
16. VI GRUER OSS - REBELLEN DEL 2 (Drittprofitt/Plata/Radio Schizo/Untermensch)
17. VI GRUER OSS - PÖNKEN E FOR AILL (Drittprofitt/Plata/Radio Schizo/Untermensch)
18. VI GRUER OSS - UFFAHUS (Drittprofitt/Plata/Radio Schizo/Untermensch)

more shortshaprsockattacks from the self-claimed worst band from
Northern Europe. I cant begin to excplain how good this LP is. Get it! Now!

...and then I got cut off before I got to play LAST NINJA - CARTRIGE POP but have no fear, I will play it next week alongside some new hardcore from some Southern-distributed labels, more Vi Gruer Oss, Raging Fugitives, Flogging Molly, Four Flamingos, Black Radio and some classics coooz it's easter and since easter is a holiday and we're supposed to have a good time during the holidays, that's what we're gonna do. Don't get your hopes up though, coz Im not really into memory lane-walking but you might recognize a song or two. See ya!

First off all; sorry for the delay with the playlists. I have been sick as a motherfucker the last 2 weeks or so. The flu can do that to ya.
And second of all, as a consequence of my illness, there was no show this week.
I decided to air Aggresso! #8 (the easter-show) since it was the newest show that didn't have too much out of date-info in it.
Lotsa exciting new records these last weeks, both commercial and underground. Keep em coming!

Here's the last 2 weeks playlists:

AGGRESSO! # 9 - 09.04.08

1. THE RULING CLASS - BORN TO KILL (Bootleg Booze)
2. MILLENCOLLIN - DANGER FOR STRANGER (Burning Heart/Bonnier Amigo)

new album. Im convinced. Not sold but definetly convinced
3. PENNYWISE - DIE FOR YOU (Epitaph/Bonnier Amigo)
new album, downloadable in its entirity from Myspace.
4. FLOGGING MOLLY - FLOAT (SideOneDummy/Tuba)
5. CAVALERA CONSPIRACY - SANCTUARY (Roadrunner/Bonnier Amigo)

Max 'n' Igor back together. If only I was 16 again..
6. COHESION - THE AUTHENTIC ART OF FEELING AKWARD (Engineer)
brutal hardcore from those lovely chaps at Engineer.
7. SOON - INVERSE RATIO (Engineer/Embrace)
brutal emo from those same lovely chaps
8. DIA PSALMA - ALLA ÄLSKAR DIG (MNW/Bonnier Amigo)
this weeks token Swedish classic off the 'Svenska Punkklassiker 2': Dia
Psalma also played Oslo the following weekend and is booked at some
of this country's smaller festivals this summer
9. MASSMÖRD - FÖR DOM SOM KNYTTER NÄVEN (Blindead/Contraszt/Halvfabrikat/Nakkeskudd/Unleashed)
picked this one up in Oslo at the Skarpretter/Hevn-gig. Not a brand new
release but a damn fine one. Too bad I didnt find time for more rotation
for this one
10. THE FORTUNE TELLERS - VOODOO GIRL (Copase/Cargo)
played Hinsides in bergen the following weekend. I gave away tickets to
what turned out to be one heck of a show and one bru-tal afterparty.
11. NO LIFE - COCKBONE (Lüftwaffel)
noisy weirdos from Tröndelag. Quality stuff!
12. TIME AGAIN - TV STATIC (Hell-Cat/Bonnier Amigo)

AGGRESSO! # 10 - 16.04.08

1. PENNYWISE - FAITH AND HOPE (Epitaph/Bonnier Amigo)
2. HELLACOPTERS - DARKER DAYS (Psychout/Wild Kingdom/Tuba)

yes! Finally, their new (and last album is here. The single sounds promising indeed
3. TIME AGAIN - DARKER DAYS (Hell-Cat/Bonnier Amigo)
4. STRIVING HIGHER - AND YOU MUST KNOW (Engineer)

weird. Semi-trendy hardcore but with a real flat sound which makes it so more interesting
than your trend-of-the mill bands doing the same thing
5. REFUSED - RATHER BE DEAD (Startracks/Burning Heart) (MNW/Bonnier Amigo)
not only a Swedish classic but a definitive CLASSIC. Might not be their greatest moment but it's
the track that's featured on the Svenska Pun kklassiker 2 comp and you cant summarize
Swedish punkrock from the last 20 years and NOT mention Refused!
6. FLOGGING MOLLY - REQUIEM FOR A DYING SONG (SideOneDummy/Tuba)
7. NO LIFE ORCHESTRA - ORGONITE EXPANSION TOOL (Lüftwaffel)
-. interview David, CHICKEN'S CALL
[-. CHICKEN'S CALL - GÉNÉRATION DÉSABUSÉE (Acclaim/Chicken's Call/Perce Oreille/Psychopathia Criminalis)]

played Hinsides in bergen the following Thursday, presented by your favourite radioshow. The
song never got played unfortunately (coz of that FUCKING VINYLPLAYER) but the interview got
honorable mentions by the producer and was aired on the national Student-webradio
8. WARLIGHT - DEATH TO BABYLON (Whirlwind/Plastic Head/Tuba)
played support for Chicken's Call and Power is Poison. I gave away tickets to this delightful
evening by the way
9. DEAD MOON - DIAMONDS IN THE ROUGH (Tombstone/Music Maniac/Tuba)
Dead Moon is dead - Pierced Arrows is very much alive. Played Hulen the following Tuesday
w/The Mormones. I, off corse, got sick and had to stay home so no interview or anything
10. MISTER X - S.H.A.R.P. (R.U.)
..and back for the first time since co-host Knut quit; the Forroners Punk Column! This time
with a Belarussian streetpunkband. Kinda like Los Fastidios, only in Belarussian obviously. This
band is SO coming to Bergen soon.
11. CAVALERA CONSPIRACY - NEVERTRUST (Roadrunner/Bonnier Amigo)
the follow-up in the above-mentioned column. From Brazil these guys, yeah..
12. MILLENCOLLIN - COME ON (Burning Heart/Bonnier Amigo)

Aggresso! # 11 will be aired Wednesday 30.04. See ya!

Extremely busy these last weeks so here's the last 4 - four- playlists. The last show is available through our site. Oh, and playlist # 9 and #10 were both called #9 (and #11 were called #10) so that's why the first one here is called #12. Off corse you've noticed!

First, the show from hell. The computer clicked on me 2 times, deleting all my notes and 2 hours of work, putting me in a; shall we say; unprepared state. So I decided to just play lotsa songs and not talk so much (yes, I CAN keep my mouth shut if I have to)

AGGRESSO! # 12– 30.04.08.

1. CASUALTIES – CAN’T STOP US (SideOneDummy/Tuba)
2. STRIVING HIGHER – FREEDOM LIES INSIDE (Engineer)
3. COHESION – SUNNY SIDE (Engineer/Wanted)
4. CAVALERA CONSPIRACY – HEX (Roadrunner/Bonnier Amigo)
5. MILLENCOLLIN – DONE IS DONE ( Burning Heart/Bonnier Amigo)
6. PENNYWISE – SOMETHING TO LIVE FOR (Myspace/Epitaph/Bonnier Amigo)
7. TIME AGAIN – LUCKY (Hell-Cat/Bonnier Amigo)
-. Interview John Ivar Knudsen, BLACK BLOOD WORLD

played a blistering show in Bergen 4 dayes later.
8. CASULATIES – NO TURNING BACK
9. DROPKICK MUPRHY’S – BREAKDOWN (Born & Bred/Cooking Vinyl/Bonnier Amigo)
10. DROPKICK MUPRHY’S – FOREVER (Born & Bred/Cooking Vinyl/Bonnier Amigo)

both from the new 7' green vinyl ltd.edt. This band just keep getting better and better.
11. RANDY – LITTLE TOLOUSE (MNW/Bonnier Amigo)
one of Swedens longest-running and, dare I say, most popular bands. Song lifted off the Svenska Punkklassiker 2 comp.
12. ANGRY SAMOANS – STEAKNIFE (Take It!)
13. ANGRY SAMOANS – LIGHTS OUT (Take It!)

played Garage, Oslo the following week.
14. TOKYO POLICE CLUB – YOUR ENGLISH IS GOOD (Tuba)
students with sneakers and long skirts will love this. Me, I'm ambivalent.

And then there was the pre-recorded decent follow-up show:

AGGRESSO! # 13– 07.05.08

1. STRIVING HIGHER - WE SHOULDN'T (Engineer)
2. GOLDFINGER - GET UP (SideOneDummy/Tuba)

semi-political skapoppunk with massive appeal. used to be released by Madonnas label (!)
3. MILLENCOLLIN - MACHINE 15 (Burning Heart/Bonnier Amigo)
4. COHESION - LOSING SOMEONE YOU WON'T REGRET (Engineer/Wanted)
5. BLACK BLOOD WORLD - BLOOD FOR OIL (demo)

finally got a hold of their demo and its grrreat!
6. RUMBLE IN RHODOS - CINEMATIC SWEEPS (Black Balloon/Tuba)
played Garage the following Friday. 30 people showed up.
7. SQUARES – INPLOTION (demo)
-. Interview THE SQUARES
-. THE SQUARES - I'LL FLY AWAY (Live)

Played on the legendary-womens night @ Hinsides. Before that, I got to premier-play their new, unmixed song AND they did an acoustic version of the O'Brother Where Art Thou-song which they opened the concert with the day after.
8. HELLACOPTERS - ACID REIGN (Psychout/Tuba)
a non-album song off the new single
9. VOICE OF A GENERATION - REBELS IN THE CORRIDOR (MNW/Bonnier Amigo)
yet another Swedish punk-classic.
10. JMKE - GOD SAVE CZAR (TUG)
11. NOITUUS - TUIJOTTAJA (Unity & Strength)

2 bands in the resurrected Forron Punk-column. JMKE from Latvia started in 1986 and has a really interesting story behind them. This song was one of many classics on their Sputniks At Restaurant-album.
Noituus from Finland is a relatively new band. This song is lifted off the In All Your Decadence People Die DIY-compilation CD-R with 33 bands/songs
12. AMEBIX - SUNSHINE WARD (Alternative Tentacles)
Jello Biafra re-mastered and re-released this classic disc from 1985 which has been kept away from the public in the Southern Recs-vaults for almost 25 years. Now, the band has reformed and playing live soon apparently.
13. DROPKICK MURPHY'S - THE THICK SKIN OF DEFIANCE (Born & Bred/Cooking Vinyl/Bonnier Amigo)
from their new 7'

And then, the pre-Pöbelrock- and Norwegian national-day-show

AGGRESSO! # 14– 14.05.08

1. GOLDFINGER - NOT AMUSED (SideOneDummy/Tuba)
2. ATOMVINTER - FAK OFF (Unity & Strength)

In All Your Decadence people will fuck off
3. BURKA BARBIES - RAMSEY GIRL (demo)
kinda reminds me of local band Dead Puppy. Nothing much in other words. Featuring members from the dutch Power is Poison
4. AMEBIX - SUNSHINE WARD (Alternative Tentacles)
5. PONTIAC AND THE TOO TOUGH TO DIE TRIO - STILL FEEDING (Wrestling)

surfy garagerock on a punkrock-compilation! Kudos to this small label for including them.
6. MT SIX - POINT OF NO RETURN (Sist I Köa)
apparently disbanded but still playing live. The two latter tracks were featured in the Surf's Up-column
7. BLACK BLOOD WORLD – UNCONDITIONAL (demo)
-. Interview Dinas, PÖBELROCK-FESTIVAL

Gave us some interesting insights on Norways longest-running and probably best festival
8. VGO - LANGTIDSVARSEL (Drittprofitt/Plata/Radio Schizo/Untermensch)
'headlined' the last day of the Pöbelrock.
9. TORO BRAVO – BAINE IR GEDA (mp3)
10. KASTRAJCA – NIE BETZIEMY TAKI (mp3)

a Polish and a Belarussian punkbands featured in the Forroners Punk-column. That's about all I know.
11. THE (INTERNATIONAL) NOISE CONSPIRACY - SMASH IT UP (MNW/Bonnier Amigo)
the last outtake from the Svenska Punkklassiker 2-comp.
12. DÖZARNE - VÅRT LAND, VÅRT LAND (Drekkords)
a hymn to Norway, which celebrated it's birthday the following Saturday.

And finally, this weeks success-show:

AGGRESSO! # 15 - 21.05.08

1. GLOBAL PARASITE - PREDJUDICE (Unity & Strength)

in all your decadenc people go to Wales
2. BETONG HYSTERIA - TREDJE RIKE (Hit Me!)
from the re-release of this classic 7' from 1982. The leadsinger Geir Brurok went on to join the National Front or something in the 80's and returned recently with the proclemation that he is no longer political. Supposed to play Oslo on Friday but cancelled last week.
3. NORSK ROCK - KK (Wrestling)
great band, great comp.
4. STRIKE ANYWHERE - PRISONER ECHOES (Fat Wreck/Bonnier Amigo)
played Garage, Oslo this evening with support from
5. DEATH IS NOT GLAMOROUS - SECOND STEP (Dead & Gone)
who's also playing Sub Scene in the same city this weekend. Yes, Ive started teasing concerts in other cities as well now.
6. MOLLY GOGO - IDAHO (self rel)
playing Hinsides Saturday
7. ESKATOL - FANE AV LÖGNER (Bombs Away/Fysisk Produkt/Nakkeskudd)
played the Pöbelrock-festival. Fucking great band!
8. AMEBIX - NO GODS NO MASTERS (Alternative Tenatcles)
9. BOMBSTRIKE - ÄCKEL (Nakkeskudd)

new 7' from these mankind-haters
10. FREEDUMB - TIKKENDE TANKER (Wrestling/Kräftpest)
from the refreshing split-7' with Göttemia. Brand new EP from Freedumb this fall.
11. KAFKA PROSESS - SKYLDIG (Hit Me!)
from the re-release of the classic 'Lov og Orden?' ('Law & Order?')-compl. from 1987 with classic acts such as Barn Av Regnbuen, So Much Hate and Overlagt Drap. Too bad there's no master-tape. This is just a recording of a crappy tape-version rereleased on CD-R. For nerds only!
12. THE ACCIDENTS - RUN AWAY (WITH ME) (Burning Heart/Bonnier Amigo)
Summer is here. Run away with me!

Some of you may notice the letters '(mp3)'.

- But Aggresso! doesnt play mp3s? I e-mailed several times and all I got was a 'thanx, but no thanx. Send us a CD'. What gives???

Well, try finding the labels for these obscure releases then, why don't you? I got 4 packed DVD-Rs from a great guy in Belarussia with eastern-european punk and hardcore but with no extra information on the bands. So no info about the bands on the show and no labels on the playlists.

Next week is the final show before summer-break where each Wednesday untill August you will get 3 different shows summarizing the best albums, singles, EPs, shows and festivals so far in 2008. You know; the usual deal.

Yup, it's the last Aggresso!-show before summer. This summer, as always, I will air 3 pre-recorded shows featuring the best from the last 6 (5) months in concerts and festivals. And records obviously.

If you send me any records before August, it WILL get played but dont expect heavy rotation unless it's killer-material, mkey?

The playlists for the 3 summer-shows will be sent out as soon as show no.3 is aired. Hopefully I will find the time to write some comments about each record/concert for you to use in your kiss-ass press-releases but no promises. Here we go with this years last ordinary playlist so far:

AGGRESSO! # 16 - 28.05.08

1. BLACK BLOOD WORLD - WHITE LIES (Bombs Away/Fysisk Format/Nakkeskudd)
2. FREDAG DEN 13:NDE - WHATEVER THEY SAY (Wrestling)

brilliant swede-core from the Wrestling Recs-comp
3. BETONG HYSTERIA - DET ER BARE LÖGN (Hit Me!)
4. HEADLESS MARINES - BLACK (Moshbrigade)
5. BOMBSTRIKE - PARTIKLAR (Nakkeskudd)
6. GÖTTEMIA - H.I.V. (Wrestling/Kräftpest)

trying-to-be provoking lyrics about the virus from the split 7' with Freedumb
7. BÖYEN BENG - BOMBE (Böyen)
the legendary folkrockers are playing Oslo this Saturday-morning
8. ANGOR WAT - DEN MASKERTE MANNEN (Hit Me!)
9. LIFE...BUT HOW TO LIVE IT? - BURN (LIVE) (Progress)

the two latter are playing the Börre Lövik-memorial concert in Oslo this Saturday-evening together with a dosen other great/legendary bands. Im staying in Bergen and hopefully Im gonna win a prize.
10. KISS - STRUTTER (mp3)
these legends are however playing Bergen this Sunday. I dont care too much for Kiss but there is an all-star punk/metal-tributeband playing hinsides on Saturday I might attend
11. 32 - DO IT YOURSELF (mp3)
from Russia without information
12. INTOTHEBAOBAB - NICHILPUNK (Unity & Strength)
yet another obscure hardcore-band from the DIY-comp In All Your Decadence People Die
13. AMEBIX - THE BEGINNING OF THE END (Alternative Tentacles)
14. ESKATOL - KNEBLET (Bombs Away/Fysisk Format/Nakkeskudd)

Oh, and last weeks playlist ha d a small error in it. I forgot to write the entire songlist of Vi Gruer Oss-songs. the songs that were played were: DOMMEDAG, OLA NORDMANN, POLITIKERPJATT, LANGTIDSVARSEL and a small bit off LÖSNINGA PAA STRÖMKRISA, all from the berautiful 'Pönkpopulistisk Propaganda' released on Drittprofitt, Gravdal, Radio Schizo and Untermensch Recs.

Next playlist in 3 weeks then.

re-run available at www.aggresso.tk and www.srib.no as usual.

Following the usual Aggresso!-tradition; here's the summer-specials playlists wayyy too late.
Instead of comments for each song (artist/album/concert/happening) there's just a line with the name of the album or the show. Album-name means the album was one of the best so far in 2008, concert means the show was one of the best so far this year. Geddit? Yeih, you're smart. Buy yourself a beer. All titles are albums unless specified.

If you find any mistakes it's ok, you can keep them.
Aggresso! is back on the air as of last week but Im only available in live-streaming for now.
Thank you for listening and reading and thank you for sending me your releases. It is you that has kept me going for 7 years.
I also have a distro (look below for link) and are always up for trades. If you dont wanna send me your expensive gatefold vinyl-release, CD-Rs are O-K. MP3s and Myspace-links are not.
Myspace-site coming soon-ish.

Cheers, tears and teddybears!

Last weeks playlist looks a little like this:

AGGRESSO! # 19 - 10.09.08

1. MIDLIFE CRISIS – I NEED NOTHING (Bootleg Booze)

2. SNÖRAS – HARAKIRI FOR THE SKY AND THE TREES (Fysisk Format/VME)

The physical version dissapeared in the mail so I had to download it, sorry for the poor sound (n00b). It also comes as a 2LP version in a gatefold sleeve including their debutalbum Heart of Weakness. Wow. Fysisk Format suprises again. Snöras is not too bad either.

3. THE SKETCH - ROTTING AWAY (Engineer)
at first it sounds like a bunch of eastern-european dorks trying to copy Get Up Kids. I sorta stopped listening after that.

4. PUBLIC SERPENTS - SERPENTS EYE (Tent City/Tuba)

5. HELLHIKERS – DEMONARCHY (self rel)

6. RENNERÆV – BIBELBELTET PEDO-SOCIETY (Lukket Avdeling)
both played the brand new Haal in the Sko-festival last weekend in Bergen. Too bad I missed it. 2 lucky contest-winners went though and they got to see The Staggers (AUS) @ Hulen for free as well.

7. THE SQUARES – NIGHT TIME BLUES (self rel)
played Garage last weekend and playing there agin this Thursday during the Phonofestival. On Saturday it's a punkrock/hardcore-extravaganza with, amongh others;

8. BLACK BLOOD WORLD – NO BLOOD FOR OIL (Bombs Away/Fysisk Format/Nakkeskudd)
and

9. VI GRUER OSS – OPPSKRIFTA PÅ DONUTS / FOITBALL E SUPERT (Gravdal/Radio Schizo/Untermensch/Drittprofitt)

10. SLAXXMAAL - SIDE A (Fyllingsdalen)
however, is not playing, BUT they DO have a brilliant new 7" out. 12 songs in 5 mins, I had to play the entire first side. Side B next time

11. WARTORN – WEIGHT OF THE WORLD (Profane Existence)
Playing Barrikaden in Oslo this Thursday

12. CIVET – GIN & TONIC (Hell-Cat/Tuba)

13. JUNIOR ACHIEVER – BETTER THAN THIS (Engineer)

And obviously, no Aggresso! this week since it's Phonofestival all over the line. If you dont live in Bergen, check us out at www.phonofestivalen.no and see what you're missing.

Back next week with Silver, The Datsuns, Static Thought, Tarmer/Di Kjipe, FABS and heaps more. Let's hope the streaming is up soon.

Hello!

As mentioned last week, the streaming is now up again. Not through our site(s), BUT only available through this link

http://129.177.94.141:8000/content/aggresso.pls

Unfortunately, last week the producer forgot to record the show so A!#21 is history Im afraid. However, A!#22 should be streamable at the same link. SO from now on; every week new show, same link. If the producer does his or hers job that is.

This weeks show is the last ordinary show in October. Im going on tour with my soloproject (where Im going should be easy to figure out if you look at the playlist below) so for October Ive recorded 2 reruns with lotsa music and not so much verbal information. Less talk, more punkrock as they say. So in other words, you wont be hearing from me untill November as Im sure youre all happy to hear.

Here's this weeks playlist:

AGGRESSO! # 22 - 08.10.08

1. BLISTERHEAD - DEAD IN AMERICA (Alleycat/Sound Pollution/Tuba)

played a blistering (...) set @ Elm in Oslo last Friday
2. PHONE TRIO - HOOKER (Enemy)
emoish poppunk - from Brazil! Ok..
3. HANSON BROTHERS - TOTAL GOOMBAH (Worng/Southern/Tuba)
4. OPERATION IVY - ARTIFICIAL LIFE (Hell-Cat/Bonnier Amigo)

LA Times have posted a 5-point article on why they should reform. Fine by me.
5. REPORT SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY - ALL AMERICAN MASSACRES (Alternative Tentacles)
2nd album from the post-HC trio. Paranoid and conspiring, the matchbox-designed CD-cover is wrapped in a ALERT EVIDENCE SECURITY BAG. Oh my..
6. SILVER - SYMPATHY (Rodeostar/VME)
7. ROADKILL - SUZIES SONG (demo)

playing Hulen tonight w/Senit & Team Blitzkrieg
8. AVSKUM - VEM FAN ÄR TERRORIST DIN RIKE JÄVEL! (Prank)
played Barrikaden, Oslo Saturday. Too bad I missed them
9. BORN/DEAD - THE FINAL COLLAPSE (Prank)
new album on Prank. Fuckin ace!
10. STATIC THOUGHT - AMBIVALENCE (Hell-Cat/Bonnier Amigo)
11. GRADY - WOMAN GOT MY DEVIL (Alternative Tentacles)

americana/bluesrock. Outstanding! AT has done it again.
12. THE HERETICS - WILD MERCURY SOUND (Roadkill)
finally, I got their debut EP through Hitfacory. Kinda kool, 60s beat/garagepop.
13. DESCENDENTS - 'MERICAN (Fat Wreck/Tuba)
14. MILLIONS OF DEAD COPS - THIS LAND (We Bite)

see ya!

Back Nov 5th with a new show

After a month touring the dirty streets of USA with Paul Needza Friend, Im back to terrorize the airwaves (and Real Players)

The October-shows playlist looks like the one below and consists mainly of new CDs and some concert-related bands for October. Check it out! New show tonight (Wednesday). WITH VINYL!!! God is alive.

AGGRESSO! # 23 - 08.10, 15.10, 22.10 & 29.10.08

1. HANSON BROTHERS - JOEY HAD TO GO (LIVE) (Wrong/Southern/Tuba)
2. BORN/DEAD - ANAMNESIS (Prank)
3. IRON LUNG - SEXLESS/NO SEX (Prank)

2 brilliant semi-new Prank releases. Good shit.
4. PHONE TRIO - SOUNDTRACK FOR A 2001 TEENAGE ROMANCE (Enemy)
5. STATIC THOUGHT - CONQUEST OF SAINTS (Hell-Cat/Bonnier Amigo)
6. SILVER - NO PLACE LEFT TO GO (Rodeostar/VME)
7. HELLACOPTERS - SENT EN LÖRDAGSKVÄLL (Bonniers)

played their last show in Norway while I was gone. Crap.
8. GATAS PARLAMENT - STATEN OG KAPITALEN (Tee Productions)
last concert in Bergen while I was gone. Crap.
9. DE PRESS - BO JO CIE BOCHOM (Sonet)
Played Elm Street in Oslo Oct 24th
10. RANDY - FREEDOM SONG (Burning Heart/Bonnier Amigo)
confirmed to this years Bodö Hardcore Festival. Too bad I cant go.
11. THE HERETICS - SOUL REBEL PARTY (Roadkill)
12. GRADY - THREE MINUTE SONG (Alternative Tentacles)

overwhelmingly superkool americana/bluesrock from Texas I believe. AT has done it again!
13. REPORT SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY - SHITKICKERS (Alternative Tentacles)
their new album "Destroy All Evidence" is wrapped in a security plastic-bag and is more guitar-friendly than their debut. Package of the year!
14. SLIM KERKEN & DJ OTIK - YAHOO (self rel)
So this is the "hidden bonus track" of the show. 2 nerds playing popish electronica, mostly about Internet Search Engines like Yahoo and Alta Vista (!) and MSN etc. Fantastic!

If you've read this far, you might wanna check out the show at http://129.177.94.141:8000/content/aggresso.pls

Same link every week, new show each Wednesday. See ya!

Hope y'all checked out the rerun for last weeks show (#24) coz soon it will be gone and you'll NEVER HEAR IT AGAIN!!! Seriously though, the streaming of tonights show should be up within 12hrs.

These 2 last shows featured some of the stuff I picked up in the states while touring with Paul Needza Friend, some new shit and, of corse, some bands playing live. The usual deal I guess. More info below. Here's the last 2 weeks playlists:

AGGRESSO! # 24 - 05.11.08

1. BACKYARD BABIES - FUCK OFF AND DIE (Bootleg Booze)

apparently there was an election last week and someone won
2. BORN/DEAD - BARRICADES (Prank)
3. SIGNAL LOST - STOP MOTION REALITY (Prank)
4. MANHATTAN SKYLINE - GOLD SMOKE (Fysisk Format/VME)

during the recording of their debut record, they replaced 5 members and lived through 5 terminal deseases. The album is called Curses.
5. DESCENDENTS - NOTHING WITH YOU (Fat Wreck/Tuba)
RIP Frank Navetta 1974-2008
6. DÖDESKADEN - CORPORATE BASTARD(Anarkopunx/Discrust/Dödeskaden/EAHC/Unrest)
finally! the vinylplayer is fixed. This is off their split with countrymen Sprängd. Excellent
7. MOB 47 - DOM LJUGER (MNW/Bonnier Amigo)
the Swedish legends played UFFA, Trondheim last weekend
8. SUSPECTED TERRORISTS - FUCK YOUR STUPID CIVILISATION (Adept)
a disc I picked up by chance in Lousville, Kentucky. Cool stuff. Cant say what it reminds me of though.
9. KATHIE LEE HOOKER - BOOZEHOUND (Reject)
one of many great Rhode Island-bands from the Rhode Island Rejects-comp.
10. VERMILLION LIES - GLOBAL WARMING (A Small Tribe)
30's cabaret/cirkus-freak kitchen equipment-based (sorta) WEIRD music. You havent heard the last of these 2 Canadian gals based in California, touring the world constantly. My son wants me to sing the chorus with him ALL THE TIME.
11. REPORT SUSPICIUS ACTIVITY - BUSH IS BREZHNEV (Alternative Tentacles)
Bush is gone. Hoooo-fucking-ray!
12. GRADY - TOMMY JOHNSON (Alternative Tentacles)
13. HANSON BROTHERS - THE HOCKEY SONG (LIVE) (Wrong/Tuba)
14. SILVER - ET NORGE I FORFALL (Fysisk Format/VME)

AGGRESSO! # 25 - 12.11.08

1. GRINGO - MY BABY'S DEAD (Reject)
2. SENIT - NOW! YOU LOUSY INDIANS (Spoon Train Audio)

ok, band. Apparently, their here to fill the void after JR Ewing, Amulet & Gluecifer. The what?
3. GRADY - RIDE LIKE HELL (Alternative Tentacles)
4. DIRTY DEAD - HYBRID MOMENTS (Nothing But A Nightmare)

this band is so inspired by the Misfits is hard to tell the difference sometimes. Decent disc.
5. SPRÄNGD - JAKTSESONG I LINDESBERG (Anarkopunx/Discrust/Dödeskaden/EAHC/Unrest)
off the brilliant split with Dödeskaden.
6. SILVER - NORGE KNELER/THE JUDGE (Rodeostar/VME)
7. RANK 'N' FILE - STAIRWAY TO HELL (Scratched Up!)

"I will fucking kill you all - if you take away my alcohol". Semi-new band from Stavanger. Not very original but not very bad. Filled with potential.
8. FLOGGING MOLLY - YOU WONT MAKE A FOOL OUT OF ME (SideOneDummy/Tuba)
playing Rockefeller, Oslo Friday together with
9. STREET DOGS - INTO THE VALLEY (Hell-Cat/Bonnier Amigo)
and Time Again and Skindred. How can this bill fail? Interviews next Wednesday. Hopefully.
10. YO, ADRIAN - SLEEPING IN TREES TO AVOID BEARS (self rel)
amazing liveband from upstate New York. Too bad this recording dont do them any justice.
11. VERMILLION LIES - OVERTURE/CIRCUS APOCALYPSE (A Small Tribe)
12. EVERLAST - FOLSOM PRISON BLUES (Pias)

the ex-House of Pain member went hiphop/acoustic folk couple of years ago. Amazing!

It's been a couple of busy weeks the since last mailout so my apologies for the late update.
This weeks show is the last before the radio takes a well-deserved X-mas holiday-break. Looks like I will be loosing my eminent technician Anja next year but I might have a new co-host (!!!)

The two last weeks playlists look like this and hopefully you caught the re-runs at http://129.177.94.141:8000/content/aggresso.pls

AGGRESSO! # 26 - 19.11.08

1. PLAN IT-: FOUR EYES - HAD NERD (Plan It-X)
from the brilliant label-comp thats been on my discman for weeks now
2. DIRTY DEAD - BLACKHEART (Nothing But A Nightmare)
3. THE PIERCES - STICKS AND STONES (Lizard King/??)

one of those weird things that I find form time to time lying about at the radio. A decent version of an old classic
4. MIGHTY MIDGETS - GUILTY UNTILL PROVEN INNOCENT (Lambination)
they're funny, political and danish without sounding TOO boring. I like this band. Check em out! Track lifted off the brilliant DIY compilation-series Lambination
5. THE POSITIVES - EG HØRAR HEME I SANDVIKEN (demo)
fairly new popish garagerock from Bergen, usually in English but this one was recorded after the fire that wiped out rehearsalrooms for nearly 100 bands in Bergen and is, I think, about belonging there. Good stuff!
6. RAZIKA - KOMMANDO (Opplett)
finally, now also on vinyl.
7. PINK DIRT - TILBAKE IGJEN (Dirt)
while we wait for their new record, this classic old Norwegian punkband has released 2 liverecordings on one CD-R; the entire concert from their reunion-stint in Oslo last year and 3 newly-discovered tracks from 1980.
8. RANK N FILE - THIS AINT A WARNING (Scratched Up)
9. KAARE OG PARTIET - HAKEKORS (Dirt)
the title track lifted off this classic 7", newly reissued on CD-R
-. INTERVIEW NATHAN MAXWELL, FLOGGING MOLLY PART 1
10. FLOGGING MOLLY - WHAT'S LEFT OF THE FLAG (SideOneDummy/Tuba)
11. THE (INTERNATIONAL) NOISE CONSPIRACY - THE ASSASSINATION OF MYSELF (Def American/Burning Heart/Tuba)

new single. As usual with this band, I dont know what to think
12. DELAY - GRAY LIKE THE WHALE (Plan It-X)
more from the brilliant Plan It-X-comp I picked up in the states last month
13. REFUSE/RESIST - STILL IN MA. (Rejects)
another "Rhode Island Rejects"-reject
14. BACKYARD BABIES - SAVED BY THE BELL (Bootleg Booze)

AGGRESSO! # 27 - 26.11.08

1. ROLLINS BAND + KEITH MORRIS – NERVOUS BREAKDOWN (Sanctuary)
it's been a rough last couple of weeks
2. EVENSTAR – FULL COUNT (self rel)
after I started posting the playlists on the Profane Existence messageboard, all kindsa stuff started coming in. This is an EP from 2007 with an emocore band that I thought was pretty average but still kinda cool
3. DIRTY DEAD – NO ROOM IN HELL (Nothing but a Nightmare)
-. INTERVIEW MIKE MCCOLGAN, STREET DOGS
the former Dropkick-vocalist had a lot on his heart
4. STREET DOGS – TOBY’S GOT A DRINKING PROBLEM (Brass Tracks/DRT Ent./Tuba)
5. ANTSY PANTSY – HENERY KELLY (Plan It X)

another grrrreat band from the Plan It-X comp
6. KIM BOEKBINDER – ORGAN DONOR’S MARCH (self rel)
off one of the two Vermillion Lies-sisters soloalbums
7. RAZIKA – LOVE’S ALL ABOUT THE TIMING (Opplett)
-. INTERVIEW NATHAN MAXWELL, FLOGGING MOLLY # 2

this is the part where Nathan interviewed ME.
8. FLOGGING MOLLY – FLOAT (SideOneDummy/Tuba)
9. PINK DIRT – HOOKER! (LIVE) (Dirt)
10. KAARE & PARTIET – JA VI ELSKER (Dirt)
11. PUNKIN PIE – COLD AND CLAMMY (Plan It-X)
12. LOS LANGEROS – KILLING FROGS (Deadlamb)

working out is dangerous. Last week, someone STOLE the cover to the Lambination 3-comp which this is lifted from, from my locker, thus making it hard for me to introduce the song with the proper name. Oh well..

Like I wrote above, last show before X-mas is THIS WEDNESDAY. The playlist will be issued asap. During the X-mas holiday break I will as usual record 3 shows that summarize the best of the last 6 months in records, shows and whatnot. Stay tuned and watch your back!

AGGRESSO! # 28 - 03.12.08

1. EVENSTAR - I'VE BORROWED TIME (self rel)
the song I was supposed to play last week
2. DEATH IS NOT GLAMOROUS – NEW WAY TO BREATHE (Fysisk Format/VME)
12.000 records sold, 10 tours, 200 shows in 21 countries, all in 3 years. Finally, their debutalbum is out.
3. THE BANANAS - SODA JERK (Plan It-X)
4. KAARE & PARTIET - LAAT 2 (Dirt)
5. MDC – BEAT SOMEBODY UP (Golf/Tuba)

this weekend, thousands of neo-nazis will march the streets of Salem outside of Stockholm, Sweden. Every year, the police harass the anti-racist demonstrators, search, film, arrest and evict people for no apparent reason other than being in the "wrong" place at the "wrong" time. This year will probably not be an exception. Lets just hope people dont get threatened at gunpoint, which was the case a couple of years ago
6. DARKTHRONE – HIKING METAL PUNKS (Peaceville/Tuba)
the first single from their new album. And also a way to get safe into Sweden this weekend for many people I guess.
-. Interview Karl Love & Freddy Peace, Nettradio for Dyrs Frihet
Nettverk for Dyrs Frihet (The Network for Animal Freedom) have their own radioshow so I had to talk to them to see whats up
7. REFUSED – JAG ÄTER INTE MINE VÄNNER (Burning Heart/Tuba)
8. BIOHAZARD – 5 BLOCKS TO THE SUBWAY (Warner)

playing Garage, Oslo this Saturday
9. PINK DIRT - HEY SIR (LIVE) (Dirt)
10. THE STUPIDS – IT’S GOTTA BE LOVE (Boss Tuneage/Golf/Tuba)

it took 4 years to mix 6 albums + bonustracks but now they're finally available. Actually, 4 of the albums got released in June but was sent to me in November for some strange reason. Oh, and the Stupids are called "the Godfathers of UK Skatepunk" and they were active from 1984 to 1987, in case you didnt know.
-. interview Alexander Dymbe and Jon Haaland, Manheads
11. MANHEADS - DEMONIZER (Nö)

playing Hulen tonight w/labelmates Lyd. An enjoyable evening I hope, despite the fact that the promoter ASF refused to sing me up on the guestlist. Morons.
12. DIRTY DEAD - NIGHT OF TERROR (Nothing But A Nightmare)

So next Wednesday you'll get the 1st of 3 X-mas re-runs where I summarize the best in concerts and records from the last 6 months. Stay tuned and watch your back!

First of all, sorry for being so late with the Xmas-playlists. But to ease your pain (right) I got a couple of great news for ya:

1) The Myspace-site is finally up. www.myspace.com/aggresso Be sure to add me, I wanna see all your ugly mugs. The brilliance of the site is that every week, you will find the bands featured in the show on the friends-toplist so its a small task to dig deeper if you find something you like. Also, you dont need iTunes or Winamp to listen to it and we dont have to wait 4 days to listen to the reruns coz someone fucked up. I allready talked to Mr.Murdoch and he is as psyched as I am about this.

2) I got a new co-host - finally! Her name si Maiken and I know her from years back, just never thought of asking her before she asked me. Im pretty confident she will work out

3) Be sure to tune in on Wednesday for Maikens first show and interviews with Bart and King Khan & The Barbecue Show - the latter which you can also win tickets to go see as they are playing Inside on Thursday.

Here's the best new records and shows from the last 6 months suckerrr:

AGGRESSO! X-MAS SPECIAL # 1 - 2008

1. TORE B - SKYTER MEG PÅ JULAFTEN (Sonet)
Xmas is all about traditions and this song ("Shooting Myself On Xmas Eve") sat the tone for the holidays this year as well
2. THE COOTERS - SAME SHIT, DIFFERENT PILE (ProfaneExistence)
From the accompanying CD to the, so far, last edition of the long running Profane Existence magazine
3. PUBLIC SERVENTS - SERPENTS EYE (Tent City/Tuba)
Their debut "The Feeding of the Fortunate 5000" is quite remiscent of Leftöver Crack, maybe a bit poppier.
4. THE SONICS -DONT BELIEVE IN X-MAS (Norton)
The legends played The Öya-festival in Oslo this summer.
-. interview Mike McColgan, Street Dogs
5. STREET DOGS - STATE OF GRACE (Hell-Cat/Bonnier Amigo)

The titletrack from the fucking ace Hell-Cat follow-up to the great second album "Fading American Dream". They also played Oslo in November and I talked to a very nice McColgan
6. CIVET - BROOKLYN (Hell-Cat/Bonnier Amigo)
Their debut "Hell Hath No Fury" is smoking! Impossible to not like.
7. MIDLIFE CRISIS - I NEED NOTHING (Bootleg Booze)
The second effort, Cranked Up Really High EP, from this all-star punkrock coverband with members from Maryslim Hellacopters and Backyard Babies.
8. JUNIOR ACHIEVER - ANOTHER STUPID LOVE SONG (Engineer)
"All The Little Letwdowns" is a journey (OMG) in the landscapes inbetween powerpop, emo and poppunk. Amazing songwriting talents!
9. STATIC THOUGHT - AMBIVALENCE (Hell-Cat/Bonnier Amigo)
"The Motive for Movement" follows up the somewhat mediocre selftitled debut in an absolutely fantastic manner. Black Flag late Rollins-era, only in a good way.
10. RENNERAEV - DEMONER & SYKE DVERGER (Lukket Avdeling/ Trang i Hjelmen)
Bergens only dope d-beat band. Semi-cheap sound but all over an important end very enjoyable record
11. LYD - NOT OVER (Nö)
One of two (then) brand new 7" releases from the Bergens-based Nö Recs. Lyd is hot!
12. BLACK BLOOD WORLD - BLOOD FOR OIL (demo)
Played a blistering set at this years hardcore-evening at the Phonofestival in Bergen
13. MAD CADDIES - TODAY (Fat Wreck/Tuba)
my token happy new year-song.
14. SLIM KERK & DJ LITTLE OTIK - YAHOO (self rel)
dont ask

AGGRESSO! X-MAS SPECIAL # 2 - 2008

1. HANSON BROTHERS - 110% (LIVE) (Wrong/Southern/Tuba)
ace liverecording from No Means Nos hockey alter-egos. Comes with e beer-brewing instruction DVD on side 2 of the disc (!)
2. AVSKUM - THE MASSACRE IN FALLUJAH (Prank)
3. BORN/DEAD - THE FINAL COLLAPSE (Prank)

"Upprör Underifraan" and "The Final Collapse" are just 2 of many great political hardcore Prank-releases I recieved this fall. Check 'em out!
4. REPORT SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY - BUSH IS BREZHNEV (Alternative Tentacles)
"Destroy All Evidence" is more guitar-based and rock-orientated than their selftitled debut and comes in an amaing packaging. Seeing is believing!
5. SILVER - ANY ROAD (Rodeostar/VME)
Their 3rd effort "Wolf Chasing Wolf" is pretty damn close to a perfect Silver-album. This band just gets better and better and their show at Hulen in Bergen in September was one of the best Ive ever seen
6. TARMER - FOR BERGEN (Left Över)
Played maybe their last show in September at Inside in Bergen. Not their best concert but that says more about the level of entertainment these 4 rhölpabilly pranksters put off live on a good day coz a Tarmer-show is a guaranteed success.
7. FOUR EYES - HAD NERD (Plan It-X)
Fantastic song from a fantastic compilation, Plan It-X Volume 2. Underground folk, punk and rock - YES!
8. GRAXELAGET - FEIT FÖDERAL PÖNK (self rel)
FABS is responsible for Norways possibly first punksingle when calling themselves Graxelaget and this fall, their discography was re-released. Quite enjoyable and hard to say wether its "punk" or not. Whatever that means.
9. BACKSTREET GIRLS - ROCK N ROLL X-MESS (Kiss Ass Merchandise)
Self-explanatory
10. REFUSE/RESIST - STILL IN MA. (Reject)
One of many superb bands from the Rhode Island Rejects 2-comp. I picked up while in the states this October.
11. GRADY - DEVIL STOLE MY WOMAN (Alternative Tentacles)
Hell yeah! The elders are definetly the best. I dare anyone to show me a better blues/americana/punk-album released this year. Not my genre of expertise exacly but I feel like saying it coz "Y.U. So Shady" completely rocks my cock off!
12. VERMILLION LIES - GLOBAL WARMING (A Small Tribe)
30's cabaret/cirkus-freak kitchen equipment-based (sorta) WEIRD music. 2 sisters touring the world all year around. I was lucky enough to play with them 2 times in the states. Amazing liveband.
13. DELAY - GRAY LIKE THE WHALE (Plan It-X)
14. ANTSY PANTS - HENERY KELLY (Plan It-X)

2 more beautiful tracks from the abovementioned Plan It X Recs-comp.

AGGRESSO! X-MAS SPECIAL # 3 - 2008

1. RONNY PÖBEL - PENGA GAAR SOM FAEN (Slagerfabrikken/VME)
Brand new Xmas-theme single from this weirdly popular Norwegian punk-rock n roll outfit
2. BACKYARD BABIES - ZOEY IS A WEIRDO (Bootleg Booze)
Another great release from Bootleg Booze! The Fuck Off & Die 7" is simply amazing!
3. DÖDESKADEN - CORPORATE BASTARD (Anarkopunx/Discrust/Dödeskaden/EAHC/Unrest)
From their split 7" w/Sprängd. Both bands deliver high-quality crusty hardcore with convincing lyrics and inense music. A good trade on my part.
4. YO, ADRIAN - SLEEPING IN TREES TO AVOID BEARS (self rel)
One of the best livebands I caught while visiting the states in October. Recording as we speak, cant wait to hear the result!
5. DIRTY DEAD - NO ROOM IN HELL (Nothing but a Nightmare)
Who needs the washed-up, pathetic new version of the Misfits when we have bands pumping out fantastic Misfits-alike records like "Carnivorous Lunar Activities"?
6. SWIVEL FOOT - LAST ROUND (Dead Lamb)
Another edition of Dead Lamb Records' quality-packed compilation-series Lambination. The third edition features, as always, bands from all around the globe and a wide variety of genres. This band is from Johannesburg, South Africa. You'd be stupid not to check this out!
-. interview Nathan Maxwell, Flogging Molly Part 1
7. FLOGGING MOLLY - FLOAT (SideOneDummy/Tuba)

Played a brilliant concert in Oslo in November. Mr. Maxwell was hungover/drunk as a fuck but had some interesting things to say
8. RAZIKA - KOMMANDO (Opplett)
One of Bergens hottest bands the last 1-2years, finally out with their debut wax
9. PINK DIRT - HEY SIR (LIVE) (Dirt)
While waiting for the new record, the legends in Pink Dirt released their reunion concert from 2007 + 3 old liverecordings on "Du Skal Få Et Riff Imaarra - Live 1980 + 2008". Obligatory!
10. KAARE OG PARTIET - HAKEKORS (Dirt)
CD-R re-release of the classic single from 1980. Also obligatory!
11. THE STUPIDS - WALTZ OF THE NEW WAVERS (Boss Tuenage/Plastic Head/Tuba)
For some reason, Tuba sent me 4 re-releases of the Stupids albums from JUNE in December. This song is from their debut "Violent Nun". Good shit from the "Godfathers of UK Skate Punk"
12. MDC - BLACK CHRISTMAS (Plastic Head/Tuba)
Self-explanatory
-. interview Nathan Maxwell, Flogging Molly Part 2
in which HE interviews ME. My ego is about ready to take over the world now.
